From May 1918 to October of 1919, the Big Easy of New Orleans was the scene of a brutal serial killer. Targeting mostly Italian immigrants, he would murder his victims and their families while they slept, cutting their throat with a straight razor or bashing their heads in with…an axe. Referring to himself as not human, but a spirit and a demon from the hottest hell, he would kill six of his twelve victims. And 103 years later, the ghosts of some of his victims still haunt the places they lived, or died. This is the unsolved case of the Axeman of New Orleans.
